Individual & Family Support

Individual & Family Support provides assistance for emergency situations that threaten an individual’s or family’s ability to live safely, maintain a household or other dire situations.  Hanover County residents facing difficult situations may call Hanover Arc for assistance.  Supported by the James Street Memorial Individual and Family Support Fund.

We can’t tell you how much it meant to have help from Hanover Arc so that we could get our car repaired and get a plumbing leak fixed.  One of our twins born this summer has a syndrome that has required extensive hospitalization and I have been unemployed for six months.  Having a reliable car to get to the hospital to see our new son has saved us emotionally and financially.” -  Dad.
