The Hanover Arc, Inc. is an organization serving those with or at risk of intellectual disabilities and their families living in Hanover County, Virginia.  It is devoted to promoting and improving supports and services for people with disabilities and their families. Members of the Hanover Arc include 200 families, self-advocates, professionals and concerned citizens.

Our vision is for people with disabilities to be fully participating members of the community living “A Life Like Yours”.  A Life Like Yours means having a home, a job, an education, a life in the community.  A part of the community, not a part from the community.

Hanover Arc improves the quality of life of children and adults with, or at risk of intellectual disabilities, and the lives of their families, through awareness, resources and commitment. Serving residents of Hanover County since 1967, Hanover Arc provides a variety of services, advocacy and education to 135 children and adults with disabilities and their families.
